Shortcut Conflicts - What can I do when a shortcut is already in use?

Many of the most obvious keyboard shortcuts are already in use by your software. For example, when you try to assign Ctrl+S to the Excel function 'Sort Ascending', this interferes with Excel's built in Ctrl+S for 'Save Document'.

In order to prevent that conflict, KeyRocket shows a little indicator and informs you which function the built-in shortcut has.

Tip: If you have a conflict, just pick another shortcut. You can use any combination of the modifier keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift) with any Letter/Number/Special Character.

In the future, we might add the ability to overwrite the existing shortcut. If you are interested in that functionality, please tell me: jans@keyrocket.com
