SlideProof automatic updates / auto-update not working / not updating


  • SlideProof is not running in the current version shown in the Changelog
  • SlideProof > Settings shows "Update available" even after restarting PowerPoint


  1. Check if SlideProof > Settings > General > Automatic Updates are "On"
  2. Close PowerPoint (check in the task manager whether it is really closed), wait a bit and start PowerPoint again.
  3. If the SlideProof version contains "Enterprise", the add-in is installed "per-machine" and updates might require administrator access (UAC)
  4. Otherwise send the"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Veodin\SlideProof\VeodinSlideProofDeploymentUtils.log" which should contain a detailed error message
